The first Zwarte Parel with the term BelBul on the label, immediately showing how good Belgian bubbles are. The warmer 2023 vintage has made the fruit character slightly more dominant and ripe with fine notes of peach, pear, yellow apple, and lemon, while naturally also showcasing its aging in the form of brioche, cardamom buns, cinnamon biscuits, and apple pastries. The initial taste is the bite of an Elstar apple with a small, pleasant grapefruit bitterness, followed by the patisserie department taking over with, among other things, apple cake and lemon biscuits.
