Nine

Every year we make a beer to celebrate our brewery taking yet another trip around the sun. The general theme for this beer is simple: put three of our favourite hops from the past year together. This year it's Peacharine, Nelson and Riwaka. Soft, red fruit, gooseberry and nectarine. Though nine years isn't one of those landmark numbers per se, this anniversary is quite notable for us here at Badlands. It is the final one on the OG Badio (i.e. the original space we have hosted you at all these years.) We are slowly approaching the opening of our new building and this beer feels like the exact intersection between the past, present and future. It's bittersweet, nostalgic, and exciting all at once. We hope you enjoy it with us one last time (whether in person or elsewhere as we wave goodbye to our old janky, bootstrapped, and extremely characterful little space, and hello to the one that is... well, a building with indoor plumbing, walls and stuff. Thank you for bearing with us all these years as we got to where we are today. We literally can't thank you enough. We are nothing without you!
