Grape variety/vinification 100% Tempranillo. This edition is the result of a 30-year-old vineyard in Lanciego (Rioja Alavesa) and a 42-year-old vineyard in El Cortijo, near the Viña Lanciano estate. Twelve months in new American and French oak barrels followed by 1 year of bottle aging prior to release. Tank D-12 is used for the plot with the best grapes of the vintage. The wine is made exclusively from grapes from this tank. Tasting note Bright cherry red color with violet hues. The nose is complex and intense with characteristic Tempranillo hints of red fruit and licorice, along with nuances of cocoa, pastry, and flowers. Long-lasting finish where notes of licorice and black pepper linger. Food pairing Grilled pork and smoked BBQ meat.
